Priscillaâs journey began with her attraction to Elvis at the tender age of 14. The couple married in 1967 when she was 21, shortly before discovering that she was pregnant with their only child, Lisa Marie.
In her tell-all, Priscilla, now 80, expressed that the revelation of her pregnancy came as a shock, especially after managing to stay quiet about their relationship for so long.
Reflecting on her initial excitement, she wrote, âOur wedding had meant I could finally come out in the open. I was so excited. But when I got pregnant on my wedding night, those dreams fell apart.â
As new parents, both she and Elvis were uncertain and unprepared, leading Priscilla to question whether things would have been simpler had she not become pregnant.
âFor weeks, Elvis and I worried in silence about what was to come. At my lowest point, I even considered how Iâd feel if I had an accident and miscarried,â she confessed, grappling with feelings of guilt and uncertainty.

Elvisâ Rage
Priscilla notes that Elvis would have supported her decision regarding an abortion.
Priscilla divulges in her memoir that upon hearing of her intention to leave him, Elvis reacted with both humiliation and fury.
âElvis found the thought of me with another man unbearable,â she recalls. âIn the weeks following my departure, he expressed that âMike had to dieâ. He even discussed hiring a hit man.â
She reveals that a mutual friend, Joe Esposito, warned her about Elvisâ threats, advising her to stay cautious and distant from her ex-husband.
Eventually, Elvis calmed down and abandoned the notion of a violent response. Priscilla continued a relationship with Stone for several more years before parting ways in 1975.
