A tragic incident unfolded in the Bronx when a woman, identified as Anthonella Contreras Linarez, aged 30, was stabbed to death inside her car. This horrifying event occurred while her boyfriend was reportedly relieving himself on the side of a secluded road Wednesday night.
The couple was en route to a dinner date on City Island at approximately 8:10 p.m. when they decided to pull over near Rodman’s Neck due to the boyfriend’s urgent need to urinate, according to law enforcement sources.
As per the boyfriend’s account, two men on a moped confronted Contreras Linarez while he was away, attempting to rob her. When she resisted their advances, they allegedly stabbed her multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The boyfriend claimed he rushed back to the car and attempted to confront the attackers, but in the process, he was also slashed. This narrative has raised questions in the minds of Contreras Linarez’s family, particularly her brother, Mayker Contreras.
“The only question I have for him is, what happened?” Mayker Contreras stated in a recent interview. “We want the truth. I don’t trust what he says.”

According to sources, the couple, who had been together for three years, was on their way to meet a friend for dinner when the attack occurred. Contreras Linarez suffered severe wounds, including multiple stab injuries to her face, neck, and torso.
In a desperate attempt to save her, her boyfriend drove them both to Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle, where Contreras Linarez tragically succumbed to her injuries. The boyfriend, who was also injured in the altercation, was treated and later released, but he remains under police investigation.
Marcos Contreras, the victim’s father, expressed his devastation over the incident, stating, “I have to wait until the police investigate. There is always doubt.”

The family, originally from the Dominican Republic, has lived in New York for over a decade. Photos of Contreras Linarez’s graduation from Manhattanville College recently surfaced, portraying moments of joy now overshadowed by tragedy.
Mayker Contreras voiced the family’s heartache, questioning how such a brutal act could occur when the boyfriend was supposed to protect his sister. “Why, if you were with her, how did you let this happen?” he pondered, reflecting on the loss of the “glue that kept us together.”
The moped-riding suspects in this senseless attack are still at large, and police investigations are ongoing.
