The affluent neighborhood of Pasadena, California has been plagued by a mysterious figure known as the “Piss Bandit” for the past six years. This elusive individual dons a mask and latex gloves, carrying bottles of urine to a utility box in the dead of night. The bottles are meticulously arranged, sometimes with crude messages scrawled on them, before the bandit disappears without a trace.

The Piss Bandit’s unconventional artwork has baffled and disgusted the residents of Pasadena. Despite efforts by the city to deter him by installing a pointed metal cover on the utility box, he simply tore it off and continued his bizarre ritual. The neighborhood has been in a constant battle with the bandit, with bottles appearing and disappearing multiple times a week.

Grant Yansura and filmmaker Derek Milton decided to investigate the Piss Bandit, intrigued by his dedication to his craft. They documented their findings on TikTok, garnering over 600,000 views. While some view the bandit as a disgusting vandal, Yansura and Milton see him as a vigilante artist, likening him to a modern-day Robin Hood.

The neighborhood, however, sees the bandit as a menace. Residents have posted warnings and threats, vowing to catch him in the act. Despite stakeouts and surveillance cameras, the bandit has remained elusive, leaving behind only his signature bottles of urine.

In a last-ditch effort to communicate with the bandit, Yansura and Milton left a note praising his “installation art” and compared him to renowned street artists Banksy and Shepard Fairey. However, the bandit ignored their attempts at communication and even stole their surveillance cameras.

Ultimately, Yansura and Milton decided to end their investigation, realizing that the bandit was not interested in revealing his motives. The case of the Piss Bandit remains unsolved, leaving the residents of Pasadena perplexed and disgusted by his enigmatic artwork. Sometimes, as Yansura aptly put it, “you just have to let an artist pee.”
