I trained my butt off for this role,” McDonough told TMZ Sports. “I rode a mechanical bull, I pumped iron, I did everything I could to make sure I looked and felt like a real rodeo cowboy.”

McDonough’s dedication to the role paid off, as he looks incredibly fit and ready to take on the challenge of playing a rodeo legend. The actor’s hard work and commitment to the role are evident in every scene of the film, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

With “The Last Rodeo” set to hit theaters soon, fans of McDonough can look forward to seeing the actor in a new and exciting role that pushes him to new physical limits. McDonough’s dedication to his craft and willingness to go the extra mile for a role is truly commendable and will surely make for an entertaining and memorable film experience.

The leading actor in the upcoming rodeo film shared some insights into the rigorous training he underwent to prepare for his role. He mentioned that he trained on horses and mechanical bulls to perfect his portrayal of a bull rider. “I trained my butt off to make sure I looked like an authentic rodeo guy,” he said.

One of the challenges he faced was a shirtless scene in the movie, which required him to showcase the results of his hard work on his physique. “It’s just such a cool moment in the film for me ’cause I worked so hard on sculpting my body to look like a true bull rider, and I think it worked,” he added.

While he wanted to ride actual bulls for authenticity, he left that task to the professionals due to the risk of injury disrupting the film’s production schedule. Instead, he spent most of his time on mechanical bulls. “They wouldn’t let me ride on [bulls], for insurance purposes-wise, I wanted to like crazy,” he explained.

The director of the film also shared his experience of working with the actor, praising his dedication to doing his own stunts. “This is the experience of directing leading men. They all want to do their own stunts, and you gotta try and protect them and the film from hurting themselves,” he said. He commended the actor for being “sadly fearless.”

Despite avoiding actual bull riding, the actor admitted to getting roughed up during filming. However, he expressed that the challenging experience was worth it in the end. He and the director not only created a great movie but also enjoyed the process of making it. “For me, it was the time of my life!” he exclaimed.

Overall, the actor’s commitment to authenticity and dedication to his role as a bull rider shines through in his training and performance. The film promises to deliver thrilling rodeo action and a compelling story, thanks to the hard work and passion of everyone involved in its production.
