Alexa Bliss, the renowned WWE wrestler, has gained widespread recognition in the entertainment industry. However, it appears that some medical professionals are still unaware of her profession, putting her husband, Ryan Cabrera, in a challenging position.

During an episode of the Artist Friendly with Joel Madden podcast, Cabrera shared his experiences of being wrongly accused of domestic violence while accompanying Bliss to the pediatrician. He revealed that healthcare providers would question Bliss about her well-being in his absence, assuming that she might be a victim of abuse. To clarify the situation, Bliss had to explain that she is a wrestler and the bruises on her body are a result of her profession.

Cabrera recounted instances when Bliss would return home with bruises on her arms, raising concerns among doctors. He expressed his frustration, stating, “What’s tough is that she’ll come home with bruises everywhere, all over her arms. Their elbows get all beat up, and sometimes the bruises look really bad. Right now it almost looks like there’s a fingerprint on her arm. I always tell her she’s got to remind people she’s a wrestler.”

While Alexa Bliss is one of the most prominent female wrestlers to face such misconceptions, she is not alone in this ordeal. Eva Marie, another WWE star, also encountered similar situations when she was training and had visible bruises on her arms and wrists. Members of the public questioned her well-being, assuming that her partner was responsible for the injuries. These incidents highlight the lack of awareness regarding the physical demands of wrestling and the misconceptions surrounding wrestlers’ personal lives.

In conclusion, the experiences shared by Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie shed light on the challenges faced by female wrestlers and their partners due to misunderstandings about their profession. It is essential for medical professionals and the public to be educated about the physical nature of wrestling to avoid unwarranted accusations of domestic violence. Through awareness and understanding, wrestlers like Bliss and Marie can continue pursuing their passion without facing unnecessary scrutiny.
