Amanda Seyfried is standing by her statement that Charlie Kirk was “hateful,” despite facing backlash for her remarks following his tragic death.
The actress addressed the criticism she received for her social media comment in an interview with Who What Wear and remained unapologetic. She stated, “I’m not apologizing for that. I mean, for goodness’ sake, I commented on one thing.”
She continued, “I made a statement based on actual reality, footage, and quotes. What I said was factual, and I have the right to express my opinion.”
After her Instagram comment sparked controversy, Amanda took to her own social media platform to clarify her stance. She wrote, “I can condemn misogyny and racism while also acknowledging the tragic and deplorable nature of Charlie Kirk’s murder.”
In her interview with Who What Wear, Amanda expressed gratitude for being able to clarify her position. She remarked, “It was important for me to reclaim my voice, which felt misrepresented and distorted by others.”
