AMC Networks and Spectrum parent Charter Communications have announced an early renewal for their multiyear carriage deal. This agreement ensures that Spectrum TV customers will continue to have access to a variety of top AMC series, including popular shows like “The Walking Dead” franchise, “Interview with the Vampire,” “Mayfair Witches,” “Dark Winds,” and “Gangs of London” across AMC-owned cable networks such as BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and We TV.

One of the key highlights of the renewed pact is the inclusion of the ad-supported version of AMC Networks’ streaming service, AMC+, for Charter’s Spectrum TV Select customers at no additional cost. AMC+ offers same-day access to all original AMC series as well as content from Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited. Additionally, Charter will make AMC+ available for purchase to its internet-only customers.

While the financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, both Charter and AMC Networks expressed their satisfaction with the deal. Charter’s executive vice president of programming acquisition, Tom Montemagno, emphasized the importance of enhancing the value and variety of premium entertainment content for customers. He also highlighted the recent additions to Charter’s distribution framework, which include Paramount+ Essential, ViX Premium with Ads, Disney+, and ESPN+.

AMC Networks chief commercial officer Kim Kelleher echoed Montemagno’s sentiments, praising the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Charter and AMC Networks. Kelleher emphasized that the early, multi-year agreement ensures that Spectrum TV customers will have continued access to high-quality original programming through AMC+.

Overall, the renewed agreement between Charter and AMC Networks reflects a commitment to providing viewers with a seamless and enhanced entertainment experience. By offering access to popular AMC series and streaming content, both companies are working together to transform the video industry and meet the evolving needs of their customers.
