Kendra Duggar Does Not Have Her, Joseph Duggar’s Children

A recorded phone conversation between Kendra Duggar and Joseph Duggar has shed light on the situation of their children following their parents’ separate arrests.

During a call on March 24 from the Washington County Detention Facility, Kendra, 27, expressed to Joseph, 31, the emotional toll of recent events. She said, “I think Friday has probably been my hardest day, but that’s crazy to say because Wednesday was crazy hard,” as reported by several outlets.

The “Friday” she referred to was March 20, the day of her arrest, which occurred two days after Joseph was detained. In the discussion, Kendra emphasized her children’s importance to her.

She shared with her husband, “But it’s just like, when you then take my babies from me, they were who I was just going to pour my life into.” Joseph interjected, affirming that their children should indeed be her focus.

In a previous call, Kendra noted she had received information that their children were “doing good.”

“I’m fighting for the kids, and they’re my No. 1 priority right now,” she continued. “I just want you to know, through all of this, whatever happens, that’s who’s coming first. Then we’ll just see where the rest of it leads us and try to put the pieces together.”

Joseph agreed, saying Kendra “should be fighting for them the most.” Although Joseph was extradited to Florida and released on March 31, he is prohibited from contacting his children until his trial concludes.

Joseph, once a reality TV personality, faced arrest last month for lewd and lascivious behavior involving a minor under 12 and similar charges against someone aged 18 or older. Additionally, he faces four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment, all in the second degree.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida reported that Arkansas-based Tontitown Police Department contacted them regarding a historical sexual abuse report. A 14-year-old alleged victim recounted incidents from 2020 involving Joseph when she was 9 years old.

After his transfer from Arkansas to Florida, Joseph filed a written not guilty plea and requested a jury trial.

During a Bay County, Florida, arraignment, a State Attorney’s Office prosecutor described the charges as “serious,” advocating for a no-contact order with the victim and any minors.

The prosecutor highlighted Joseph’s lack of criminal history and community ties, noting his brief stay in Florida during a vacation. They recommended a substantial bond.

The judge ruled that Joseph should have “no contact with the alleged victim” and “no unsupervised contact with any minors under the age of 18.” His bond was set at $600,000, and he has since returned to Arkansas.

Meanwhile, Kendra faced arrest on March 20 for endangering the welfare of a minor and was released on a $1,470 bond. An exclusive source told Us Weekly that her arrest was unrelated to Joseph’s situation in Florida.

The source explained, “After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”
