WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a significant move to shape the future of artificial intelligence in the United States, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) has unveiled a trove of over 10,000 public comments. These responses were gathered in relation to the Request for Information (RFI) concerning the formulation of the AI Action Plan, as mandated by President Trump’s Executive Order aimed at bolstering American leadership in AI.
“It is imperative that America not only leads but also continues to dominate the global AI landscape. The substantial volume of public feedback we’ve received underscores the profound interest Americans have in the direction of AI and emphasizes the vital role of the Trump Administration’s AI Action Plan in advancing what is arguably the most transformative technology of our time,” stated Michael Kratsios, Assistant to the President and Director of OSTP.
These comments were collected over a seven-week period, concluding on March 15th, and spanned a wide array of subjects, including chip manufacturing, supply chain resilience, AI model development, workforce training, and scientific research.
