Emergency meeting! The animated “Among Us” TV series has unexpectedly launched on Paramount+, with all 10 episodes now fully available for streaming.
Yvette Nicole Brown and Liv Hewson, stars of the series, revealed the surprise Friday afternoon at the Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles. This announcement was particularly unexpected as there had been almost no updates on the project since production concluded in 2024.
Attendees of the Summer Game Fest and those watching the livestream were shown the series trailer, which features adorable, monochromatic crewmates aboard a spaceship working to identify a “suspicious” impostor.
The series, created by Owen Dennis, boasts a voice cast that includes Brown as “Orange,” Kimiko Glenn as “Cyan,” Hewson as “Black,” Ashley Johnson as “Purple,” Wayne Knight as “Lime,” Phil LaMarr as “Brown,” Randall Park as “Red,” Dan Stevens as “Blue,” Debra Wilson as “Yellow” and “Computer,” Elijah Wood as “Green,” and Patton Oswalt as “White.”
Dennis serves as an executive producer alongside Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser for Innersloth. Titmouse is the animation studio, with executive producers Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
“Among Us” is inspired by the renowned online game that became a global sensation during the pandemic, reaching nearly 500 million monthly active users at its peak towards the end of 2020. The game garnered over 4 billion views on YouTube and was ranked No. 1 on the App Store in 55 countries and on Google Play in 66 countries.
