“The Chosen” Season 5 is gearing up for its highly anticipated premiere in theaters next month, and fans are in for a treat with three stunning key art posters shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. Creator and executive producer Dallas Jenkins unveiled the posters alongside series star Jonathan Roumie during a press tour stop in New York’s Times Square.
The upcoming season, titled “The Chosen: Last Summer,” will consist of eight episodes that will be released by 5&2 Studios in U.S. and Canada theaters starting March 28. Jenkins expressed his admiration for Leibovitz’s work, stating, “What makes her work so extraordinary is she tells stories – in seconds – and then you look deeper and you find more.”
Tickets for Season 5 will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 14, with the series being distributed in the U.S. by Fathom. The season will be divided into three parts, with Part 1 (episodes 1-2), Part 2 (episodes 3, 4, 5), and Part 3 (episodes 6, 7, 8) hitting theaters during a four-week run. International audiences can also look forward to the release of “The Chosen: Last Supper” Part 1 in over 40 territories starting April 10.
Following the theatrical release, Season 5 will make its streaming debut later in 2025. The logline for “The Chosen: Last Supper” sets the stage for an intense storyline, teasing, “The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning.”
Leibovitz, in a statement, praised Jenkins for his work on the series, calling him “the artist of our time doing the Bible.” The three key art posters released for the season showcase the depth and emotion of the characters and storylines that fans can expect to see unfold on screen.
