Anonymous Content Names Darren Walker as New President and CEO
Anonymous Content, a renowned production and management company, has appointed Darren Walker as its next president and CEO. Walker, who previously led the Ford Foundation, will now oversee all operations of the company from its offices in Los Angeles and New York.
In a statement, Walker expressed his excitement about joining Anonymous Content, highlighting the company’s commitment to creative excellence and independent ownership. He emphasized the importance of creative independence, especially in a time of significant change, and his readiness to continue shaping culture for years to come.

Anna Golin, another board member, welcomed Walker as the new CEO and highlighted his leadership as a key factor in supporting artists, expanding global ambitions, and building on the company’s creative legacy.
Anonymous Content will receive a significant investment from the Emerson Collective to support its growth as Walker takes on his new role.
Prior to joining Anonymous Content, Walker managed a large endowment at the Ford Foundation and oversaw global operations. He was responsible for innovative initiatives such as a $1 billion social bond to aid nonprofit institutions during the pandemic and establishing a documentary film fund to support emerging filmmakers.
In addition to his role at Anonymous Content, Walker serves as the president of the Board of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions at the Rockefeller Foundation and as a respected attorney and capital markets professional.
Founded in 1999 by Steve Golin, Anonymous Content represents over 200 directors, writers, actors, and comedians. The company has been involved in producing Oscar-winning films like “The Revenant” and “Spotlight” and is currently backing upcoming TV series such as “American Classic,” “East of Eden,” and “12 12 12.”
