In 2026, Apple is set to release new and improved iPad and iPad Air models, according to a recent report from Macworld. The leaked internal Apple code document reveals some exciting details about the upcoming tablets.

The standard iPad for 2026, likely to be known as the iPad 12, will be powered by the A19 chip, the same chip found in the iPhone 17, and will come with 8GB of RAM. This will provide a significant performance boost compared to the current iPad, which launched earlier in the year with an A16 chip and 6GB of RAM. The new iPad is also expected to feature Apple Intelligence features for the first time.

Additionally, the iPad 2026 is likely to include Apple’s N1 wireless chip, making it a powerful and efficient device. The design and features of the iPad 2026 are expected to be similar to the previous model, the Apple iPad (A16).

The leaked document also mentions a new iPad Air model, which will be equipped with the M4 chip, the same chip that powered the iPad Pro 2024. This represents a modest performance improvement over the current iPad Air, which runs on the M3 chip. Like the iPad 2026, the new iPad Air is also expected to feature Apple’s N1 wireless chip.

Interestingly, there is no mention of a new iPad Pro model in the document, indicating that Apple may not be releasing a new premium tablet in 2026. However, this could change, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for any updates.

Overall, Apple’s tablet lineup for 2026 promises to deliver improved performance and features, making the devices even more appealing to consumers. Stay tuned for more information as the release date approaches.
