Electric boat startup Arc has unveiled its latest model, the Arc Coast, which is set to be the most affordable and accessible watercraft in its lineup. Priced at $168,000, the Coast is now available for preorders and is expected to be shipped in 2026.
The Arc Coast is classified as a “center console” boat, typically used for fishing purposes. This new addition marks the company’s third model, following the high-end limited edition Arc One priced at $300,000 and the Arc Sport at $268,000, which was previously launched. Despite only emerging from stealth mode four years ago, Arc has been making significant strides in the electric boat industry.
In addition to the Arc Coast, the company recently announced its plans to develop an electric tugboat for use at the Port of Los Angeles. This initiative aligns with founder and CEO Mitch Lee’s ambitious goal of electrifying all types of watercraft.
Powered by a 226kWh battery pack similar to the one used in the Arc Sport, the Coast offers a range of features and capabilities. The battery pack can sustain the boat for several hours, with a top speed of approximately 50 miles per hour and a capacity to accommodate up to 10 passengers on board.
One of the main distinctions between the Arc Coast and the Arc Sport, apart from the price point, is the layout design. With a centralized helm console, the Coast allows for more freedom of movement around the vessel’s perimeter. The boat boasts the same level of craftsmanship and attention to detail seen in Arc’s previous models, known for their sleek and sophisticated appearance. Additionally, the software integrated into the console’s screens has been meticulously developed to provide a user-friendly interface with comprehensive information.
Furthermore, the Arc Coast offers several advantages over traditional gas-powered boats, such as minimal emissions, no need for winterization, and reduced noise levels. These benefits, combined with the boat’s performance capabilities, may justify its premium price tag for consumers looking to transition to electric watercraft.
