A gang of nine suspected Tren de Aragua members caused chaos at a Colorado apartment complex, just one year after the notorious Venezuelan gang took control of properties across the state, leading to a surge in violent crime. Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain revealed the disturbing incident that took place at a Potomac Street apartment in Aurora on June 9, where the armed thugs knocked on a resident’s door while brandishing firearms.

The doorbell footage captured the gang’s menacing behavior as they harassed the complex for about a minute before leaving. Chamberlain emphasized the gang’s involvement in the incident, stating that it was reminiscent of past experiences with gang activity in the city. Two members of the gang, Larry Galbreath and Jordan Green, have been arrested, with efforts underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.

The police recovered a gun matching the one seen in the video from Galbreath, who lived in the same building targeted by the gang. Chamberlain assured the public that the authorities are actively addressing the situation and pursuing all individuals involved. He emphasized the need to eradicate the gang’s influence, referring to them as a cancer that must be removed from the community.

Aurora, a peaceful community east of Denver, became a stronghold for the Tren de Aragua gang last year, leading to numerous incidents of violence and intimidation. Chamberlain expressed gratitude that the targeted residents from Venezuela did not open their door during the attack, highlighting the potential danger they avoided. The police department has responded to multiple incidents at the complex, including threats, shots fired, and squatting, indicating the gang’s disruptive presence.

Law enforcement agencies are collaborating with state and federal partners, such as the Department of Homeland Security and ICE, to apprehend the remaining suspects. The community is urged to report any information related to gang activity, with the goal of ensuring the safety of residents in Aurora. Chamberlain reaffirmed the commitment to protecting the community and urged anyone with tips to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.

In conclusion, the Aurora Police Department is actively addressing the gang presence in the area and working towards eliminating the threat posed by the Tren de Aragua gang. The community’s cooperation and support are crucial in ensuring the safety and security of residents in Aurora.
