Amy Baer Joins Artists Equity as President of Film and Television

Artists Equity, the studio co-founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has recently appointed Amy Baer as its new president of film and television. Baer brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as president of Gidden Media and Landline Pictures, as well as launching CBS Films.

Since its inception in 2022, Artists Equity has been behind successful projects such as “Air,” “The Instigators,” and “The Accountant 2,” many of which have featured Affleck and Damon. Upcoming releases from the studio include “The Rip,” an action film starring Damon, Affleck, Teyana Taylor, and Scott Adkins, and directed by Joe Carnahan, as well as “Animals,” a thriller directed by Affleck himself, featuring Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, and Kerry Washington.

Baer’s impressive resume includes producing credits for films like “The Apprentice,” “Last Vegas,” and “Mary Shelley.” She has also held leadership positions at major studios such as Sony Pictures and CBS Films. Baer is known for championing work that balances creative integrity with commercial success, making her a perfect fit for Artists Equity’s mission of empowering talent and creating compelling content.

In her new role, Baer will report to Ben Affleck, Co-Founder & CEO of Artists Equity, as well as Chief Operating Officer Dillon West.
