The Remastered “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus” Set to Premiere in Fall 2026

Exciting news for anime fans as the popular series “Dragon Ball Super” is getting an extensive remaster under the new title “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus.” The announcement was made at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in Japan, revealing a fall 2026 premiere for the enhanced edition.

The remastered version will feature a complete visual overhaul with new animation cuts, revised sequences, re-rendered footage, fresh voice acting, and an updated musical score and sound design. The project, in the works for several years, aims to stay true to creator Akira Toriyama’s original vision through cutting-edge visual techniques.

The big announcement took place during a live stage presentation at Makuhari Messe, with voice actors Masako Nozawa (Son Goku) and Koichi Yamadera (God of Destruction Beerus) joining executive producer Akio Iyoku on stage.

A launch trailer and key visual were revealed, giving fans a glimpse of the enhanced production values. The story will follow the God of Destruction Beerus as he awakens from his slumber and sets his sights on Earth after hearing about a powerful Saiyan who defeated Frieza, leading to a showdown with Goku and his friends.

This remastered series is a complete reconstruction of the original “Dragon Ball Super” anime, featuring Toriyama’s original story concepts and character designs. Fans can expect heightened visual immersion, especially during the epic battle sequences.

Alongside the “Dragon Ball Super: Beerus” announcement, a new anime series titled “Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol” was also revealed, continuing the story after the “Universe Survival Arc” from the previous broadcast run.
