Benson Boone amazed the audience at Coachella by delivering a stellar performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” with a twist – a cardboard cutout of Brian May stood in for the legendary guitarist.
Despite the absence of the real Brian May, Boone captivated the crowd with his rendition of the iconic Queen song during Weekend 2 of the renowned music festival.
As Boone sang the poignant lyrics “I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all,” he playfully interacted with the cutout of Brian May, creating a memorable moment on stage.
Boone incorporated the cutout into his performance, using it as a prop and playfully integrating it into his act, much to the delight of the audience. Despite some mishaps with the wind knocking over the cutout, Boone continued to entertain the crowd.

Boone later revealed that the idea of using the Brian May cutout was a tribute to the guitarist, who was unable to join him for Weekend 2 of Coachella. Despite the unconventional choice, Boone’s performance was well-received by the audience.
During a previous performance, Brian May had joined Boone on stage, garnering mixed reactions from the crowd. However, Boone’s ability to channel the spirit of Freddie Mercury was widely praised.
