Trump Blames Biden and Harris for Assassination Attempt
During the National HBCU Conference in Philadelphia, Joe Biden made a strong statement against political violence in America. He emphasized that there is no room for such actions in a democratic society and that differences should be resolved peacefully through the ballot box.
Biden stated, “In America, we resolve our differences peacefully at the ballot box, not at the end of a gun.” He highlighted that violence only serves to tear the country apart and solve nothing.
On the other hand, Kamala Harris disclosed during a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists that she personally reached out to Donald Trump to express her gratitude that he is safe following an assassination attempt. She reiterated that there is no place for political violence in the country.
She emphasized, “I am in this election and this race for many reasons, including to fight for our democracy. In a democracy, there is no place for political violence.” Harris’s message to Trump was clear and direct, emphasizing the importance of upholding democratic values.
It is crucial for political leaders to condemn violence and prioritize peaceful means of conflict resolution. The events at the National HBCU Conference and the National Association of Black Journalists serve as a reminder of the importance of unity and civility in the political arena.
