The Oversight Project has unveiled the third installment of its investigation into the Biden autopen controversy, coinciding with ongoing scrutiny from the Department of Justice.
In previous findings, the Oversight Project revealed that every pardon granted on January 19 bore an identical autopen signature attributed to President Biden.
They meticulously compiled signatures from various documents, discovering that all utilized the same autopen signatureâexcept for the announcement regarding Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

According to the Oversight Project’s latest analysis, President Biden was physically present in Washington, D.C., while the autopen busily processed a multitude of pardons and commutations.
But the question looms: Where was Joe Biden during this autopen frenzy? Was he comfortably seated in the Oval Office while the machine conducted presidential duties? The Oversight Project notes that on at least eight separate occasions, Biden hand-signed bills even as the autopen cranked out Executive Orders on the same days.
If Biden was in D.C., why was the autopen deemed essential for signing critical documents?
Notably, six of the autopenned pardons were issued while Biden enjoyed a vacation in St. Croix.
âIn Part III, we found that the Biden White House issued a substantial number of Executive Orders via autopen while President Biden was physically located in Washington, D.C. Furthermore, on at least eight occasions, President Biden hand-signed bills, while autopenned Executive Orders were generated the same day. This trend raises significant concerns, as no public rationale exists for using the autopen on such vital documents when President Biden was available in D.C. to provide his authentic signature,â the Oversight Project reported on Tuesday.
âAs part of our investigation, we sought to ascertain whether President Biden issued pardons or prison commutations via autopen while he was present in Washington, D.C. It is worth noting that during his presidency, Biden issued a total of 51 clemency warrants, 32 of which were âsignedâ using an autopen. We examined the White House Press Pool summaries for the days he executed these acts of clemency, yielding alarming results,â the Oversight Project stated.

In a recent podcast appearance, DOJ Pardon Attorney Ed Martin discussed the implications of Bidenâs autopen scandal with journalist Mark Halperin on â2WAY Tonight.â
Martin disclosed that he had reached out to the Biden family and others, and that a senior Democratic whistleblower had come forward with startling accusations.
âA few individuals have âlawyered up,ââ Martin revealed. âI had a whistleblower in my office just ten days ago, a senior Democrat stating, âIt was these three individuals controlling access, and they were profiting from it.ââ He added, âWhile I reserve judgment on the veracity of these claims, itâs crucial to investigate this matter for the American public and to safeguard the integrity of the process.â
Although Martin refrained from naming names, he indicated that the whistleblower had worked as a high-level advisor in Bidenâs 2020 campaign.
Allegations have emerged that three key figuresâChief of Staff Ron Klain, senior White House advisor Anita Dunn, and Biden attorney Bob Bauerâwere allegedly selling access to the autopen. Additionally, Martin pointed out that former Biden counsel Steve Ricchetti and Jill Biden also played prominent roles within the administration.
