Tracy Vallerand, the biological mother of the victim in the Connecticut House of Horrors case, expressed her disgust at facing the alleged evil stepmother, Kimberly Sullivan, in court. She has not yet been reunited with her son.
Vallerand attended court for the second time this week as Sullivan pleaded not guilty to accusations of locking up and torturing her stepson for over 20 years.
Vallerand vowed to be present at every court hearing, seeking justice for her son who has been kept in an undisclosed location during the investigation.
She expressed regret for giving up her son due to personal issues, believing he would have a better life with Sullivan and his father.
The victim, now 32, was rescued by firefighters after setting a fire in the house where he was allegedly kept locked up and mistreated by Sullivan.
Vallerand, along with her family, tried tirelessly to locate her son over the years, unaware of the abuse he was enduring.
Despite Sullivan’s denial of the allegations, prosecutors described the horrifying conditions the victim lived in, comparing his state to a survivor of Auschwitz’s death camp.
Sullivan remains free on bail, maintaining her innocence as her attorney argues for her rights to be protected.
