The Olsen twins, Ashley and Mary-Kate, have been making waves in the fashion industry with their brand, The Row. Known for their minimalist designs and attention to detail, the designers have recently implemented a new rule at their fashion shows – no phones allowed. While some may argue that “the camera eats first,” Ashley and Mary-Kate prioritize a different experience for their guests.
At the brand’s fall 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week, attendees were treated to a luxurious spread of snacks. White boxes filled with eight paper-wrapped cherries and blackberries were passed around, accompanied by chocolates from the renowned Parisian chocolaterie PLAQ, fresh orange juice, and sparkling water. The attention to detail in the presentation of the snacks was evident, with Vogue’s head of editorial content, Chloe Malle, noting that “every cherry this succulent and sweet should be boxed like a fine ruby.”
It’s worth mentioning that cherries and blackberries are not typically in season in the northern hemisphere during early March. These fruits are usually at their peak between mid-June and early fall, with countries like Chile, New Zealand, and Mexico being major producers. The fact that guests were able to enjoy these fruits out of season added an extra touch of luxury to the event.
In previous seasons, The Row has offered a variety of snacks to their guests. From bottles of Litewater, touted as “the purest water in the world,” to trays of Beurré Bosc pears and dark chocolate, the designers have always made sure that their guests are well-fed and satisfied. Each season brings a new culinary experience, perfectly complementing the mood and theme of the collection.
The attention to detail doesn’t stop at the snacks – the presentation of the food is carefully curated to match the aesthetic of the show. Whether it’s Proustian madeleines to evoke a sense of nostalgia or crisp pears with chocolate shards to mirror the colors and textures of the runway, The Row’s commitment to creating a multisensory experience is unmatched.
As the Olsen twins continue to push boundaries in the fashion industry with their innovative designs and unique approach to presentation, one thing is clear – when it comes to The Row, the camera may not eat first, but the guests are always well-fed and satisfied.
