Blake Lively Subtly Reaches Out to Mend Friendship Rift
Published October 3, 2025 3:54 PM PDT
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively may currently be experiencing a rocky friendship, but that didn’t deter Blake from showing her support for Taylor’s latest album launch.
Though subtle, it’s significant … Blake left a “like” on Taylor’s Instagram post from Thursday celebrating the release of “The Life of a Showgirl.” In her post, Taylor expressed, “I can’t express how proud I am to share this moment with you, an album that simply feels right.”
While the gesture may seem minor, it signifies quite a bit considering the past disputes between these once-close friends, particularly surrounding Blake’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
According to TMZ, Taylor felt deceived — and was genuinely upset — when texts emerged revealing that Blake referred to her as one of her “dragons” while branding herself as Khaleesi from “Game of Thrones,” clearly attempting to leverage Taylor’s fame for personal gain.
Regarding Taylor’s potential digs at Blake in “Showgirl,” interpretations vary as there’s no conclusive diss. Some speculate that “Cancelled!” may reference Blake while others believe it points to Brittany Mahomes and her social media fallout regarding support for President Trump.
Regarding the “like” from Blake … it could signal the first tentative step toward reconciliation. After all, Taylor remains the godmother to Blake and Ryan Reynolds’ children, solidifying her status as family.
