A disturbing incident occurred in Manhattan involving a blue-haired maniac with a long criminal history. Edwin Page, a 28-year-old from Harlem with multiple prior arrests and mental health disturbance calls, was arrested for groping four women and lighting another woman’s hair on fire in broad daylight.
The first victim was a 23-year-old blind woman waiting to enter a Flatiron service center. Page approached her, making derogatory remarks about her blindness before groping her buttocks. He then returned, asking for the time before groping her again.
On Monday, Page targeted four more women within a span of two hours. He approached a woman using her cellphone, making lewd comments and pressing his genitals into her leg. He then slapped another woman’s buttocks before running off and later lit a woman’s hair on fire as she walked down the street. Fortunately, she managed to extinguish the flames before sustaining serious injuries.
Page was arrested and faces charges including forcible touching, sexual abuse, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Most of his prior arrests were for domestic assaults in Queens, and he has had numerous incidents as an emotionally disturbed person.
His most recent arrest before this incident was for assault in Midtown. Page, with electric-blue hair, appeared in court and faces charges for assault causing physical injury and multiple counts of first-degree sexual abuse, hate crime, stalking, aggravated harassment, and criminal impersonation.
The police are taking the case seriously, and Page is awaiting arraignment. The details of the incidents and the charges against him indicate a pattern of disturbing behavior that poses a threat to the community.
