The Trump administration has conducted nine consecutive days of strikes on Iran, resulting in the death of three US troops over the weekend due to Iranian attacks.
Despite ongoing threats from Trump, Iran remains unfazed, highlighting the ineffectiveness of his aggressive rhetoric.
Although there are plans to extend military operations in Iran, US officials are privately admitting to media outlets that the military is too strained to manage such an expansion.
The Washington Post reported:
âThe U.S. is planning for a wider war,â said one U.S. official familiar with internal administration discussions.
However, the official, who spoke anonymously due to a lack of authorization to discuss the matter, warned that the expansion of operations is constrained by shortages in air defense and long-range munitions, as well as challenges in deploying additional troops and aircraft due to battle damage.
âWe do not have enough to safely sustain operations, and I donât think the White House is aware of that,â the official expressed.
Military experts have noted that, along with depleted equipment and munitions, the U.S. is not prepared for potential ground operations in Iran, which Trump has not ruled out.
In summary, the military’s resources have been significantly exhausted under Trump’s administration.
