blue bloods usweekly‘s Marcus Scribner shared his thoughts on the season 1 finale, expressing a desire for more from the show.

“I don’t want to reveal whether it’s satisfying or a cliffhanger,” Scribner, 26, remarked in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “But I was left wanting more. The ending was quite intriguing.”

Scribner mentioned that viewers will get to know his character, Jonah, better as the season progresses, adding, “There are some exciting pairings and fun guest stars that people will enjoy.”

Despite his longing for more, Scribner praised the finale, describing it as “great” and adding, “It left me eager for more.”

The second season of Donnie Wahlberg’s Boston Blue is on the horizon, sparking curiosity about the cast changes following a significant recast. Before Boston Blue, Blue Bloods focused on the Reagan family’s lives, many of whom are part of the NYPD, led by NYC police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck). Frank’s father, Henry Reagan […]

Before Boston Blue, Blue Bloods chronicled the Reagan family, who are deeply embedded in the NYPD under the leadership of Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck). The show also featured Frank’s father, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou), and his children: Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan), Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), and Jamie Reagan (Will Estes).

The series ran from 2010 to 2024, after which CBS introduced a spinoff. In the spinoff, Wahlberg’s character transitions from the NYPD to the Boston Police Department, where he teams up with detective Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green), the eldest daughter of a notable law enforcement family.

“Before joining Boston Blue, I hadn’t watched Blue Bloods, but I knew about it from my family,” Scribner told Us. “It’s been a cultural staple for years. Diving into it and seeing Donnie’s range from Danny Reagan was eye-opening.”

He added, “I tried to incorporate some of Danny’s traits into my character, Jonah Silver. He’s a bit of a hothead, often challenging norms to pursue what he believes is right, making it very engaging.”

Joining the Blue Bloods universe and introducing the Silver family has been a transformative experience for Scribner as an actor.

“It’s been enlightening. I recently rediscovered myself as an actor. For a while, I was trying to do something different,” he shared with Us. “But grounding myself in this universe has been enjoyable.”

Scribner expressed gratitude for his Boston Blue co-stars, saying, “Acting involves a lot of receiving. Being around such talented actors makes it easy. Listening to them creates a feeling that you just respond to.”

He concluded, “It’s been a lot of fun. The challenges and cool experiences, like doing physical stunts, have been thrilling. Recently, I was in a car chase with explosions—it’s been amazing.”

Boston Blue is broadcasted on CBS every Friday at 10 p.m. ET, with new episodes available the next day on Paramount+.
