“Due to reckless and unfounded accusations from the Left, ICE officers are experiencing a staggering 413% surge in assaults. President Trump remains committed to fulfilling his pledge to the American populace by deporting undocumented immigrants. It is troubling that Democrats, such as Mayor Wu, choose to side with those in the country illegally rather than with law-abiding Americans, thereby inciting animosity towards our law enforcement officials.” — White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson
In a bold display of defiance, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu reiterated her controversial stance against law enforcement yesterday, likening Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to neo-Nazis. This inflammatory comparison comes shortly after she labeled ICE and other federal authorities as “secret police.”
If the mayor possessed any sense of decency, she might reflect on the consequences of her rhetoric while ICE agents face unprecedented threats to their safety and that of their families. However, expecting such reflection from today’s Democratic Party may be overly optimistic.
She disparages the same officials who recently apprehended nearly 1,500 dangerous undocumented immigrants in Massachusetts during the largest-ever immigration enforcement operation. Among those detained were individuals with alarming criminal backgrounds:
A 55-year-old Salvadoran national with an active Interpol Red Notice for aggravated homicide, robbery, aggravated kidnapping, and theft in El Salvador.

A 32-year-old Guatemalan national and registered sex offender convicted of aggravated rape of a child and facing additional charges for five counts of indecent assault and battery.

A 37-year-old Honduran national arrested for rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, witness intimidation, and kidnapping of a minor.

A 22-year-old Colombian national charged with kidnapping, aggravated rape, and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

A 29-year-old Brazilian national charged with aggravated rape of a child by force, possession of child pornography, and dissemination of obscene material.

A 48-year-old Salvadoran national with a criminal record including charges of aggravated rape of a child by force, indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, and open and gross lewdness.

A 40-year-old Guatemalan national accused of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a family member, strangulation/suffocation, and witness intimidation.

A 69-year-old Uruguayan national and registered sex offender, previously convicted for indecent assault and battery on a seven-year-old child.
