Recently, court papers have exposed a tumultuous business relationship between Hollywood exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. According to InTouch, Jolie sent an email to Pitt on January 21, 2021, where she expressed her desire to sever ties with their eight-figure stake in a winery.

In the email, Jolie opened up about her struggles with the business partnership, stating, “I have tried to stay open to the business, to see it as something that could be positive for our family, and have therefore not walked away. I had hoped somehow it could become something that held us together and we found light and peace. I see now how you really wanted me out and will most likely be pleased to receive this email.”

Jolie went on to highlight her concerns about the way the business was being managed, mentioning incidents of inconsiderate behavior, unauthorized expenses, and decisions being made without her input. She also expressed her discomfort with the marketing strategies employed by the winery, particularly the use of imagery that evoked painful memories for her.

Expressing her deep reservations about being associated with a business centered around alcohol, Jolie stated, “All of this tells me very clearly that the vision you and the others in the business have is not one I can share. I do not feel I can be involved, publicly or privately, in a business based on alcohol, when alcoholic behavior harmed our family so deeply.”
