Globoplay, the leading Brazilian streaming service, has made a significant move by acquiring the rights to “Sullivan’s Crossing” from Fremantle. This marks the first time that Brazilian audiences will have the opportunity to watch the CTV Original series, which is based on the book by New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr.

The series, adapted for TV by showrunner Roma Roth, features a star-studded cast including Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, and Scott Patterson. “Sullivan’s Crossing” follows the story of neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan as she returns to her rural hometown after facing personal and professional challenges in Boston. The romantic drama explores themes of community, family bonds, love, and self-fulfillment, allowing its characters to grow and heal along the way.

Fremantle’s decision to venture into English-language production with “Sullivan’s Crossing” has proven to be a success, with the series being licensed to over 180 territories worldwide. Season 4 is set to premiere in Canada this Spring, further solidifying the show’s global appeal.

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ to Brazilian audiences in partnership with Globo,” said Sheila Aguirre, Fremantle EVP of co-production & distribution for Latin America & Hispanic USA. The series is set to strengthen Globo’s catalog of emotional dramas and resonate with viewers on a deeper level.

Creator and executive producer Roma Roth expressed her excitement about sharing “Sullivan’s Crossing” with Brazilian viewers, known for their love of romance and telenovelas. The series is a collaboration between Reel World Management, CTV, The CW, and Fremantle, with a talented team of producers and executives working behind the scenes.
