Actress Betsy Brandt has officially filed for divorce from her husband Grady Olsen after more than two decades of marriage. The “Breaking Bad” star made the decision to end their marriage, reportedly after separating over a year ago.
Brandt took the step to file for divorce pro per, without the representation of a lawyer like Jennifer Lopez did in a similar situation back in August. The grounds cited for the divorce were the common “irreconcilable differences.”
The couple tied the knot in September 1998 and have now decided to part ways after almost 25 years of marriage, listing their date of separation as August 2023. Brandt also mentioned that they share one minor child, a 16-year-old named August, for whom she is seeking legal and physical custody.
The division of property between Brandt and Olsen is yet to be settled, with no clear indication of whether they have a prenuptial agreement in place.
Brandt gained widespread recognition for her role as Marie Schrader in the critically acclaimed series “Breaking Bad,” appearing in all 62 episodes of the show. Following the conclusion of “Breaking Bad,” she showcased her comedic talent in the sitcom “Life in Pieces,” portraying the character Heather Hughes in 79 episodes.
