Charges Dropped Against GOP Rising Star Carolina Amesty, Prompting Accusations Against Pam Bondi from the Mainstream Media
Just a week prior, we reported on the troubling targeting of Carolina Amesty, a prominent figure in the Florida House and an emerging star in the GOP, who found herself ensnared by what many perceived as politically motivated charges from the Biden administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ), unveiled only two days before President Trump’s inauguration.
It is a troubling reality when a government administration appears to turn its prosecutorial powers against its own perceived adversaries. The Biden regime, it seems, has taken a page from an authoritarian playbook, targeting not just President Trump but also his supporters and any dissenting voices within the political landscape. By the time the 2024 election rolled around, Trump was facing potential incarceration, a fate that could have left him financially devastated and politically incapacitated. Yet, in a twist of fate that could rival the most dramatic of political thrillers, Trump emerged victorious in what many consider the most pivotal election of our time.
Near Mar-a-Lago, another individual found herself in the crosshairs of this political machination: Carolina Amesty. Young, articulate, and staunchly pro-Trump, Amesty embodied everything the far-left seemingly fears, making her a prime target for the so-called Deep State.
As a former Florida State Representative, Carolina Amesty quickly distinguished herself as a passionate advocate against human trafficking, especially during the challenging political landscape of the 2022 midterm elections. Her commitment to championing victims’ rights while supporting President Trump’s agenda positioned her as a significant voice within the GOP, particularly among Hispanic communities. When the opportunity arose to undermine her political ascendancy, the Biden DOJ wasted no time.
Amesty, a conservative firebrand winning her seat during the difficult 2022 midterm elections, quickly became a leading voice against human trafficking in the Florida state house, championing the cause of helping victims in the legislature. She did so while being an unabashed supporter of President Trump, helping to expand the GOP tent to Hispanics.
Amesty’s legislative work included pivotal measures aimed at protecting children and families, such as a Florida bill prohibiting young girls from working in strip clubs. She was steadfast in her commitment to her constituents and celebrated these achievements alongside Governor DeSantis.
On April 17, 2023, Amesty joined Governor DeSantis in challenging Disney’s promotion of progressive ideologies, asserting that corporations should focus on their primary mission of entertaining families rather than engaging in social re-engineering. She emphatically stated:
“It is time for Disney Executives to have a sober conversation and retake the company from the radical ideologies that have hijacked it. You are in the business of entertaining children and families, not in the business of promoting radical political ideologies.”
It appears that the Biden administration could no longer tolerate Amesty’s influence, viewing her as a substantial threat to their progressive agenda.
Initially, Amesty faced state allegations of notary violations, charges that were later retracted. However, the political damage had been inflicted, as she subsequently lost her election bid in 2024 despite her legislative contributions. The Biden administration then escalated the situation with a federal complaint filed just days before Trump’s inauguration, targeting Amesty over $122,000 in loans connected to her family through the COVID Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program.
According to a court filing, these loans were legitimate, with no missed payments, and five of the twelve loans already fully paid off. The collateral backing the loans exceeded their face value, and the government has not lost a single dollar on these loans. There was no victim, nor any crime to speak of. The loans were obtained appropriately in good faith and without any misrepresentations.
Last week, we reported that U.S. Attorney Gregory Kehoe successfully moved to dismiss these unfounded charges, a step that was long overdue.
Yesterday, we received the welcome news that federal prosecutors in Florida officially dropped the charges against Amesty.
Carolina announced her relief on Twitter:
“The government has dropped its criminal complaint against me. I am grateful to God, my amazing attorney Brad Bondi and his team, and my family for supporting me through this difficult time. Daniel 6:22.”
After my attorneys presented overwhelming evidence of my innocence (as described in his recent court filing), the government acknowledged it didn’t have a case by requesting leave from the Court to dismiss the prosecution. It was a flawed prosecution from the inception, filed by…

However, Amesty’s moment of triumph was swiftly overshadowed by a disparaging report from the mainstream media, which promptly questioned the integrity of her attorney, Pam Bondi. ABC News reported (emphasis added):
“Federal prosecutors on Wednesday moved to dismiss criminal charges against a woman accused of fraud in Florida who was being represented in court by Brad Bondi, the brother of Attorney General Pam Bondi.”
“The Biden Justice Department filed a criminal complaint against Carolina Amesty, a former Republican lawmaker, in mid-January — just days before President Donald Trump took office. Amesty faced two counts of theft of government property related to COVID relief fraud and, if convicted, could have faced up to 20 years in prison.”
Yet, the ABC report failed to accurately portray the timeline and the circumstances surrounding Bondi’s representation of Amesty. The implication of impropriety was unwarranted, as their report suggested nefarious undertones without substantiating evidence.
Furthermore, a statement from Amesty’s spokesperson clarified that neither Carolina nor her legal counsel had any communications with the Attorney General regarding this matter:
“Neither Carolina Amesty nor her counsel had any communications with the Attorney General regarding the matter. The Department of Justice in a statement today acknowledged that ‘the Attorney General had no role in it.’”
It is disheartening to witness the media attempting to spin a narrative out of thin air rather than holding accountable those who initiated baseless charges against an innocent American. The focus should be on the misconduct of the Biden DOJ rather than creating sensationalized stories about Carolina Amesty and her legal representation.
ABC News owes an apology to Carolina Amesty, her attorney Brad Bondi, and Attorney General Pam Bondi.
