Denver Police Close Roads Near State Capitol During Anti-Trump Protest

Denver police shut down roads near the state Capitol on Thursday night as demonstrators gathered to protest against President Donald Trump’s policies, which include mass deportations and Medicaid cuts.

The protest, known as “Good Trouble Lives On,” is part of a national day of action in honor of the late congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis. According to organizers, the protests aim to oppose the “brazen” attacks on civil rights, voting rights, and essential services by the Trump administration.

Denver police announced rolling road closures around the Capitol and near 14th Avenue and Speer Boulevard to ensure the safety of the demonstrators.

This story is still developing and will be updated as more information becomes available.
