Mädchen Amick Directs and Guest Stars on “Brilliant Minds”
Mädchen Amick is set to showcase her talents both in front of and behind the camera on the NBC medical drama “Brilliant Minds.” According to Variety, Amick will direct episode 7 of the show’s second season, scheduled to air on Nov. 3. Following her directorial duties, she will then step into the spotlight as a guest star in episode 9 titled “The Fire Fighter,” airing on Nov. 24.
In the upcoming episode, Amick will portray Alicia Ramati, a strong-willed woman who is not afraid to express her emotions, especially when it comes to her firefighter ex-husband, played by Eric Dane. Described as someone who speaks her mind and deeply cares for her loved ones, Alicia’s character is sure to bring a new dynamic to the show.
Amick, known for her roles in popular series like “Twin Peaks” and “Riverdale,” where she also made her directorial debut, has a diverse acting background that includes appearances in “American Horror Story,” “Gossip Girl,” and “ER.” Her feature directorial debut, “Fractured,” was released earlier this year, showcasing her versatility both in front of and behind the camera.
With representation from Gersh and KW Entertainment, Amick continues to expand her creative horizons in the entertainment industry. Her involvement in “Brilliant Minds” adds another layer of excitement to the show’s already impressive cast and crew.
“Brilliant Minds” Season 2, inspired by author and physician Oliver Sacks, premiered on Sept. 22. The series features a talented ensemble including Zachary Quinto, Tamberla Perry, and Ashleigh LaThrop, among others. With Michael Grassi at the helm as writer and executive producer, supported by a team of industry veterans, the show promises to deliver compelling storytelling and engaging performances.
