A man has been taken into custody and formally charged in the tragic murder of a groundbreaking musician, Peter Forrest, whose lifeless body was discovered inside a private ambulette in the Bronx earlier this week. The suspect, Sharief Bodden, 29, a resident of the Bronx, now faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, as well as drug and weapon possession in connection to this heinous crime.

The grim discovery of Peter Forrest, 64, was made when authorities found him lying face-down in a pool of blood inside the parked bus on Castle Hill Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Forrest, an employee of Marquis Ambulette based in Long Island, was pronounced dead at the scene with signs of trauma evident all over his body.

Despite the arrest of Bodden, the exact circumstances surrounding Forrest’s murder remain shrouded in mystery, leaving investigators and the public searching for answers.

Colleagues of Forrest were the ones who made the grim discovery and promptly alerted emergency services, leading to the location of the bus on Castle Hill Avenue in Castle Hill.

Peter Forrest, who resided in the Allerton neighborhood about 5 miles away from where he was found, was a renowned musician in his own right. As a member of the original lineup of the South Bronx-based rock band 24-7 Spyz, Forrest performed under the pseudonym P. Fluid. The band even had the honor of opening for Jane’s Addiction on their Ritual de lo Habitual tour. After his time with 24-7 Spyz, Forrest went on to form P. Fluid and the P. Fluid Foundation before embarking on his solo career with BlkVampires.

Described by his former girlfriend as a good person who cherished music and was passionate about advancing black rock, Forrest was also a founding member of the Black Rock Coalition, further solidifying his impact on the music scene.

The city’s medical examiner’s office will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of Peter Forrest’s untimely demise, providing some closure to his loved ones and fans alike.
