The first reported break-in took place on December 13 at approximately 7:55 p.m. on the 2900 block of South Wallace Street. Since then, additional incidents have been reported on December 22 and 23, as well as on Christmas Eve.

According to police reports, the burglaries involved the forced entry of apartment doors and the theft of property from within the residences. The incidents occurred on various blocks within the neighborhood, including South Emerald Avenue, South Lowe Avenue, South Shields Avenue, West 28th Street, and West 32nd Street.
