A recent string of car break-ins has plagued the Lincoln Park neighborhood, particularly in areas frequented by large crowds heading to Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo. According to a Chicago Police Department community alert, detectives in the Near North and Town Hall districts reported a series of incidents where thieves smashed car windows and stole valuables from vehicles parked along Stockton Drive, Fullerton Parkway, and Cannon Drive between November 18 and November 24. The offenders used an unknown object to shatter windows in order to gain access to the vehicles.

Witnesses described the perpetrators as two African American males wearing black or gray jumpsuits and ski masks. The break-ins occurred on specific dates and locations as follows:

– November 18, 2025, at 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Stockton Drive
– November 20-24, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. in the 400 block of West Fullerton Parkway
– November 24, 2025, at various times in the 2300 and 2400 blocks of North Cannon Drive and the 2100 block of North Stockton Drive

Chicago police advised residents and visitors to take precautions by removing or concealing any valuables in their vehicles and to report any suspicious activity by calling 911. Any individuals with information regarding the break-ins are urged to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8263 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com, referencing the case number P25-3-051.
