Hollywood Mourns the Loss of Legendary Stars in 2026
The year 2026 began on a somber note for Hollywood as the industry mourned the deaths of some of its most iconic stars.
The first blow came with the passing of Broadway performer and influencer, Bret Hanna-Shuford, at the age of 46 on January 11. This was followed by the death of renowned composer Guy Moon at the age of 63. Just days later, the music world was shaken by the loss of Grammy-nominated musician John Forté at the age of 50.
As January drew to a close, the entertainment world bid farewell to All That alum Kianna Underwood, who passed away at the young age of 33. The month also saw the tragic death of Rob Hirst, co-founder and drummer of Midnight Oil, at the age of 70. Additionally, Jardyn âPee Weeâ Walker, a contestant on Two Ways With Erica Mena, was fatally shot at the age of 23.
Tragedy struck again at the end of the month with the passing of celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo, who succumbed to cancer, and Catherine OâHara, who died at the age of 71.
February brought more sorrow with the loss of Camilla Carr, known for her role in Designing Women, who passed away at the age of 83. Child actor Blake Garrett also left us too soon at the age of 33, while retired NFL player Tracy Scroggins bid farewell at the age of 56.
