Robinson has been charged with murder.

Robinson’s new lead attorney, Kathryn Nester, conveyed that her client will retain his rights for a preliminary hearing and trial, with the next court appearance scheduled for October 30.

The 22-year-old faces serious charges including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice linked to the tragic shooting incident.

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 while engaging with students, suffering a gunshot wound to the neck. Prosecutors allege that Robinson fired the shot using a bolt-action rifle from the rooftop of a nearby building.

Authorities revealed that the rifle was recovered with Robinson’s DNA found on it, solidifying the evidence against him.

Additionally, Robinson’s parents identified him in police photographs and accompanied him when he voluntarily surrendered to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
