Charlize Theron: Throws Shade at Bezos-Sanchez Wedding
Charlize Theron is not one to hold back her opinions, and she certainly didn’t mince words when it came to the recent star-studded wedding of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos. The actress made it clear that she wasn’t bothered by not receiving an invite to the lavish affair, declaring that everyone at the wedding “sucks!”
Theron made the bold statement at her fifth annual Block Party in support of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, held on the Universal Studios Backlot. She assured her guests that missing out on the Venice festivities was no big deal, as she proclaimed, “They suck and we’re cool.”
While her remarks may come across as tongue-in-cheek, it’s evident that Theron wasn’t too fazed by being excluded from the high-profile event that saw the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kim Kardashian in attendance.
Notably, Theron wasn’t the only one left off the guest list. Katie Couric also missed out on the invite and even took to social media to critique Sanchez’s wedding look.
As the world continues to grapple with various issues, Theron didn’t shy away from addressing pressing matters. In addition to her comments on the Bezos-Sanchez wedding, she took a moment to criticize the Trump administration’s handling of immigration, stating that “the world feels like it’s burning.”
Despite the glitz and glamour of the Venice affair, Theron seemed content to stay in Los Angeles with her friends, steering clear of the chaos abroad.
