Shortly afterward, she encountered Sonny Bono, who was 27 years old, significantly older than her.
“I swear to God, the moment I saw Sonny, everyone else in the room disappeared,” she expressed. “He was the coolest guy ever.”
As their romantic relationship developed, they also pursued a joint career as singers. They initially married unofficially in 1964, making it official in 1969. That same year, they welcomed their son, Chaz Bono.

Cher’s marriage to Gregg Allman lasted from 1975 to 1979, during which they had a son, Elijah Blue Allman.
