After purchasing Cherry Creek Food Hall & Brewery for $5.2 million two years ago, RCI Hospitality Holdings Co. from Houston has announced plans to close the establishment on Nov. 30, as stated in a Facebook post.
The operation, located at 6575 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., was acquired from renowned Denver chef and restaurateur Troy Guard, who originally opened it in 2021. Initially known as Grange Hall, the venue featured multiple Guard concepts, a brewery, and several other dining options.
“We weren’t looking to sell, but RCI approached us on three separate occasions, each time with an increasingly higher offer,” Guard shared with JS, citing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as a driving factor for the sale.
RCI is a publicly traded company with a portfolio of restaurants and strip clubs nationwide, including Diamond Cabaret and PT’s Showclub. The company viewed Grange Hall as an opportunity to introduce its Bombshells sports bar brand, likened to Hooters and Twin Peaks.
Following the acquisition, RCI rebranded the food hall and revamped all existing concepts.
An RCI representative was unavailable for immediate comment via email.
