Most of them remain unknown.

On Thursday, Bondi was removed from her position after releasing heavily redacted documents related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, a former associate of President Donald Trump.

Colbert responded with his own statement.

“In tribute to Pam Bondi, I offer this heartfelt farewell,” he remarked, presenting a letter that was completely redacted except for the words: “Dear Pam,” and “Sincerely, Stephen Colbert.”

Reports suggest that one reason Trump dismissed Bondi was dissatisfaction with her handling of the Epstein files.

Colbert expressed skepticism about this claim.

“Suggesting Pam Bondi is the villain of the Epstein files is like saying the lead in ‘Die Hard’ is the dad from ‘Family Matters,’” Colbert commented.

He also quoted Trump’s statement, in which the president mentioned Bondi would be “transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector.”

Colbert then imitated Trump.

“It’s a much-needed job at a very important farm upstate. There’ll be lots of room for her to run around. Unfortunately, we can’t go visit her,” he joked. “Now let’s go to the strip mall and get you a new attorney general, buddy.”
