Elijah Blue Allman’s Wife Breaks Silence After Reported Drug Overdose
The estranged wife of Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, has spoken out following his reported drug overdose. TMZ reported that Elijah, 48, was rushed to the hospital after an overdose in Joshua Tree, California. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that drugs were found in his home and he was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
In a statement to People, Elijah’s wife, Marieangela King Allman, addressed his struggles and commitment to sobriety. Despite facing personal challenges, Marieangela emphasized Elijah’s strength and determination to live with integrity and purpose.
Marieangela filed for divorce from Elijah in April after 11 years of marriage. In her filing, she cited irreconcilable differences and requested exclusive use of their residence and vehicle.
Reflecting on their relationship, Marieangela shared with TMZ that they had a beautiful 13-year journey and expressed her hope to remain friends with Elijah. As they navigate this new chapter, she asked for privacy and understanding from the public.
Elijah is Cher’s only son with the late musician Gregg Allman. Cher also has a son, Chaz Bono, with the late Sonny Bono.
