Chicago police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman as she was entering her workplace in Logan Square earlier this month. The incident took place on February 6 at around 3:54 p.m. in the 2000 block of West North Avenue.

Surveillance images of the suspect have been released by detectives, although details about the attack are limited. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the victim was entering her workplace when the man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and threw her to the ground. He then proceeded to pin her down until two passersby intervened and confronted him, ultimately stopping the assault.

The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement officers arrived. The condition of the woman has not been disclosed, and it is unclear whether she required any medical treatment following the incident.

The attack is currently being investigated by Area Five detectives under case number JK-140693. Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact Area Five Detectives at 312-746-6554 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com.

This disturbing incident serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining vigilant and aware of one’s surroundings at all times. It also highlights the crucial role that the public plays in assisting law enforcement agencies in solving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice.

The safety and well-being of all individuals, especially in the workplace, should be of utmost priority. By working together and sharing information, we can help create a safer community for everyone.
