Accused killer surgeon Michael McKee is facing new allegations in the brutal double slaying of his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, and her new husband, Spencer Tepe, in their Ohio home last month. Court documents now reveal that McKee allegedly used a silencer when he gunned down the couple in their bedroom on December 30.

The Franklin County grand jury indicted the 39-year-old suspect on four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary for the heinous crime. It is believed that McKee entered the Tepe’s Columbus home in the middle of the night and used an automatic firearm or silencer to fatally shoot Monique and Spencer, leaving their two young children unharmed in another room.

McKee was apprehended over a week later in Rockford, Illinois, after authorities traced his car to the scene of the murders. Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant described the killings as a “targeted” domestic violence attack and confirmed that the murder weapon, believed to be the gun used in the crime, was recovered by the police.

Monique and McKee were married from 2015 to 2017, and while their divorce was initially amicable, her family has since come forward alleging emotional abuse during their marriage. Monique’s brother, Rob Misleh, revealed that she was eager to leave the toxic relationship and start anew with her second husband, Spencer, a respected local dentist whom she married in December 2020.

The motive behind the killings remains unknown, and McKee, a licensed vascular surgeon in Illinois and California, appeared in court but did not enter a plea. He is currently in custody awaiting extradition to Ohio to stand trial for the aggravated murder charges.

The tragedy has left the community in shock, with friends and family mourning the loss of Monique and Spencer, who were described as loving and dedicated individuals. As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to uncover the full extent of the events leading up to the horrific crime.

The details of this case serve as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence and the importance of supporting victims in their journey to safety and healing.
