Chris Rock graced the stage as the host of the December 14th episode of “Saturday Night Live” and kicked off the show with a hilarious opening monologue filled with jokes about various hot topics in the news.

One of the targets of his comedic set was Jake Paul and his recent boxing match with Mike Tyson. Rock quipped, “Who is this Jake Paul? This 27-year-old punching a 60-year-old in the face. Is this what the white man has reduced himself to? Stop it! Who’s he going to fight next, Morgan Freeman? I hate Jake Paul. I got landlord hate for him.”

Rock didn’t hold back when discussing the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson either. He expressed sympathy for Thompson’s family but also highlighted the irony of society’s fascination with Thompson’s good looks, suggesting that if he were not as attractive, the public reaction might have been different.

Incoming President Trump’s proposed aggressive deportation policy was also a topic of ridicule for Rock. He humorously remarked, “Menendez Brothers are getting out of jail — just in time to get deported. Trump is going to deport their ass, you murdering Mexicans!”

Taking a swipe at Trump’s close ally, Elon Musk, Rock joked about Musk being the richest African American in the world due to his South African heritage. He playfully mentioned Musk’s numerous children, comparing them to the Cleveland Browns football team.

This was Rock’s fourth time hosting “Saturday Night Live,” having previously hosted in 2020, 2014, and 1996. Fans of the comedian were delighted to see him back on the iconic sketch comedy series, especially considering his history as a cast member from 1990 to 1993.

If you missed Chris Rock’s monologue, be sure to check it out in the video below for a good laugh. It’s safe to say that Rock’s unique brand of humor and sharp wit made for an unforgettable episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
