Naomi Watanabe, the renowned comedian from Japan, is all set to bring her comedic talents to North America with her upcoming “From Tokyo” tour. This tour will mark her first fully English-language tour, promising a unique and entertaining experience for her fans.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Watanabe expressed her excitement for the tour, stating, “The last few years have been full of big changes for both myself as a person and my comedy, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been up to with audiences all around North America. This tour would not be possible without the love and support of my fans from the U.S., Canada, Japan, and beyond. Thank you, and I can’t wait to meet friends – old and new – on the road this spring.”

The tour is scheduled to kick off on April 17 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, with a total of 17 dates planned before concluding on June 13 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Watanabe rose to fame in Japan in 2007 for her sketch comedy and original characters before making waves in New York City. She launched her podcast “Naomi Takes America” in 2023, followed by a successful seven-city live tour. In 2024, she made her English-language stand-up debut with “Stand Up with Naomi Watanabe,” selling out two shows at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City within an hour. Additionally, she is set to headline a solo sketch comedy show in Japan in 2026.

Earlier this year, Watanabe lent her voice to the character of Ambassador Auva in the English and Japanese versions of the Disney-Pixar film “Elio.” Fans can get their hands on tickets for the “From Tokyo” tour starting with a Citi presale on December 3. Additional presales will follow throughout the week, leading up to the general on-sale at naomiwatanabe.com on December 5 at 10 a.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
