Chicago police are currently on the lookout for a man who allegedly fired shots towards an occupied vehicle in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood last week. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday, December 19, 2025, in the 5400 block of West Diversey Avenue. According to the Chicago Police Department (CPD), the suspect was seated in the front passenger seat of a stolen vehicle when he discharged a .45-caliber firearm in the direction of another vehicle.
Following the shooting, the stolen vehicle fled the scene, heading north on the 2800 block of North Long Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Authorities have described the suspect as a Hispanic male aged between 18 and 28 years old, with a medium build and a low haircut.
