In the early hours of Tuesday morning, four women fell victim to armed robberies in the Boystown area of Chicago. Chicago police have since linked these incidents to another robbery that took place in Lincoln Park the previous evening. Detectives have issued a community alert urging residents in Lincoln Park and Lake View East to remain vigilant.
The first robbery occurred at around 12:13 a.m. in the 600 block of West Stratford. Three women, aged 20 and 21, were walking when a black sedan pulled up alongside them. Two males exited the vehicle, brandishing guns, and proceeded to steal personal belongings from each victim before fleeing in the car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident.
Just two minutes later, at 12:15 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was robbed in the 3200 block of North Broadway. She was approached by two males, one of whom displayed a gun and demanded her belongings. After complying, the offenders fled eastward. Again, no injuries were sustained during this robbery.
Detectives have determined that these two incidents are connected to an armed robbery that occurred around 8:40 p.m. the previous evening in the 2600 block of North Clark in Lincoln Park. In this case, multiple victims were targeted by robbers wielding a black handgun and demanding their possessions.
The suspects in all three incidents have been described as Black males between the ages of 13 and 16, dressed in dark clothing and ski masks. Chicago police are urging anyone with information to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8263 or submit an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com, referencing case number P25-3-050.
