Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever continues to demonstrate her commendable character. The three-time All-Star recently showcased her generosity by donating $2,000 to the family of Jessica Schoffel, a devoted Fever fan who recently passed away. In memory of Schoffel, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to install a buddy bench at the Trumansburg Playground.

Jessica Schoffel was known for her enthusiasm for the Fever and even managed a fan page on X, under the handle @FeverBandwagon.

“In memory of Jessica, we will donate buddy bench(s) to the Trumansburg Playground,” stated the fundraiser. “A buddy bench is designed to help kids combat isolation and bullying, encourages students to practice empathy and to invite their peers to join in play, goals which were always a priority in Jessica’s classroom. We will also donate children’s books about the concept of buddy benches for teachers to use in their classrooms.”

Fans have taken to X to express their appreciation for Clark’s generous contribution.

“I’m crying. Caitlin is an outstanding human… Especially for someone who purposely doesn’t go on social media, she just shows up when it matters. Wow. 🥹” a fan expressed.

WNBA Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman Compares Caitlin Clark to Taylor Swift in Her MVP Take

This WNBA season, Caitlin Clark has stood out as one of the league’s top performers, guiding the Fever to a 24-13 record. Clark is a strong contender for the MVP award, potentially preventing Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson from claiming it for the fifth time.

Nancy Lieberman, when asked about the MVP race between Clark and Wilson, shared her thoughts.

“Yes, she’s in the MVP conversation. She is. If you match up her statistics and where the Fever are, [Clark has a case],” Lieberman remarked in an interview with “EssentiallySports” (Timestamp at 16:22).

“She moves the financial needle more than any other player right now. It doesn’t mean that A’ja Wilson is not the best player in the world. She is. But, you know? The music industry, there’s some amazing, legendary talent. Taylor Swift moves the needle like nobody else.”

Lieberman highlighted that Caitlin Clark’s influence extends beyond the court, making her a prominent candidate for this season’s MVP award.
